So I Solved My Flickering and Artifacting Problem

Specs:
Windows 7
Athlon II x4 2.8GHz
4GB RAM
Radeon 5770

I installed Beyond Good and Evil through Steam. When I first started playing the game I noticed objects and characters were flickering or artifacting. I fiddled with the Advanced Settings of the game and turned off the HW Vertex Processing and--viola! Problem fixed.
